Gun Cite is the premier web source for Second Amendment information, history and background.

The United States Department of Justice hasn't always been a friend to the Second Amendment or gun owners. In this particular case, however, they clearly document that the Second Amendment is an inalienable individual right.

In March of 2007 the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia issued a decision in what has become known as Parker versus DC. This decision renders the Washington DC gun ban illegal on Second Amendment grounds and, in doing so, represents one of the first real chances for the Second Amendment to be reaffirmed by the United States Supreme Court.

The United States Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is the primary law enforcement agency with jurisdiction over firearms matters.
The United States Senate represents half of the legislative branch of the United States government. Since many firearms laws originate in the Senate those who are interested in supporting the right to keep and bear arms are encouraged to contact their Senators in opposition to any gun control measures.
